L'aeroplano di Marinetti

This documentary tells the story, through two parallel narrative layers, of the artistic, political, and social avant-garde in Italy at the beginning of the 20th century. In particular, it focuses on the 1929 Aeropainting Manifesto, which represents the second Futurism. This artistic movement is connected to the birth of Italian aviation, with the first planes by Gianni Caproni and other innovative industries, which were used as propaganda tools by the Fascist regime. However, the documentary highlights how, despite the promoted modernity, the regime betrayed the hopes of an Italian society that desired real change.
